Released 16 years ago in February 1990, the legendary Air Jordan V was debuted to the masses by nike. Inspired by world war II spit fighter planes, the 5th generation sneaker was an innovation as was it's designer Tinker Hatfield, a renowed shoe designer from nike. One of the highlights of the shoe is its clear sole, a concept rumored to have come from the nike shoes Michael J. Fox wore in the universal pictures movie Back to the Future II. Another eye catching feature is the reflective material on the tongue, another innovation introduced to the sneaker world. This particular colorway was last released 9/30/2006, and is known by shoeheads as the grapes. It's release was limited to select stores and is very highly sought after.
